Riders started near Jodrell Bank before joining the A towards Chelford before joining the A to Ollerton before turning over to Toft and then the A50 back south through the finish. Competitors then turned for the bottom part of the course at Cranage before cutting over to Twemlow Green and joining the A to complete the lap.
