They most likely stacked it on top of other units and wonder why it over heats, As did I to start. They also comment on dust, which suggests to me they need to keep their homes cleaner. Mine is great! We spent a lot of time researching which model to buy, after owning for 6 months the machine burnt out, was fixed under warranty, after another 12 months the DVD's started skipping so we took it back for repair to be told there was an upgrade to be done the parts were free and we had to pay labour, also the laser needed replacing, after another 18 months the same problem is occurring, this machine would be used about 3 hours per month, an absolute piece of rubbish the sony never stood behind… Read Full Review.
It overheats badly and stops mid film as a consequence. In addition it broke down completely after 3 years, and having had the laser assembly replace it has broken again.
